Laurie Ann Underwood

Laurie Ann Underwood is a Senior Associate Professor of Management (adjunct) with the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University’s International Business School Suzhou and a senior consultant with Sino Associates. Her current areas of research,  China CEO II consulting, and teaching expertise include intercultural business communications, corporate communications, relationship marketing, and technology-assisted communications.

 

She has worked as a journalist covering business, politics, and social issues in Greater China and Taiwan for 11 years. Laurie was also Communications Director for the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and Director of External Communications and Development for CEIBS. She has given numerous talks on doing business in China to business associations in the US, China, and Southeast Asia, and has coauthored three books, including China Entrepreneur and the first volume of China CEO.

 

A native of Alaska, US, Laurie is proud to have raised her two children in Taipei and Shanghai and is grateful to continue her adventure, together with her partner, in exciting and everchanging China. She holds an MBA and CMO Certificate from CEIBS and a DBA from the Grenoble Ecole de Management.
